We've popped together our top tips for self-care during the silly season. After all - we want you to ring in 2024 bright and blossoming. _MAKE TIME FOR THINGS THAT FILL YOUR CUP_ It’s a busy time of year but it’s still important to prioritise yourself and all of your magic! Block out your calendar and spend some time (this can be a whole day, or even just an hour!) doing something nice for YOU! A lil bubble bath, a face mask, a workout, a walk, or a laze on the couch - whatever you need to fill your cup. Self care should be on the top of your to do list. __ _YOU'RE ALLOWED TO SAY "NO"_ There’s a lot of pressure during the festive season to be go go go - Christmas parties, after work drinks, Sunday brunches, the list goes on! Whilst all these things are heaps of fun, sometimes we just need a break & there is no shame in saying NO. Go easy on yourself - you don't have to burn yourself out trying to do everything & pleasing everyone. Trust us, people who love you will understand. _SET BOUNDARIES_ Christmas can often be a time when we have to spend time with people whose values may not align with our own. This is a great time to set your boundaries and decide what is acceptable & what your comfort zone is. These boundaries might be ones you voice, or they might be an action plan of how to deal with situations when you’re feeling out of your comfort zone. _YOU DON'T NEED TO BLOW THE BUDGET_ There is nothing more lovely than spoiling someone special, but don’t put pressure on yourself that you have to blow the budget to make Christmas dreams come true. Write a list & be thoughtful - it might be a little something and a beautiful hand written letter, a craft project or some homemade shortbreads with a thoughtful card. _FEEL ALL OF THE FEELS_ It can be an emotional time of year! Don’t be hard on yourself, the festive season can be a lot for our lil hearts - Give yourself the space to feel all the feels. _TAKE TIME TO FOCUS ON THE THINGS YOU ARE GRATEFUL FOR_ You may want to start a gratitude list! There is nothing better than setting yourself up for a magical day by waking up and jotting down a few things you are grateful for each day. It will make you appreciate what you have, energize you, inspire you & ignite you. _SPEND TIME WITH PEOPLE WHO MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE SUNSHINE_ No explanation needed! Life is short - fill it with those you lift you up into the rainbows & make you sparkle like the star you are. Now you're armed with our top-tips for a fruitful silly-season - you go shine baby!
